Welcome Gift

Nightmare journey on M1 and M25 to reach our holiday cottage near Lewes, in South East England. Massive roadworks for miles and miles, heavy traffic on all roads, even when we got off the motorway. This was one of the reasons for moving away from this area when we came to Scotland nearly ten years ago!

However, we eventually arrived at our delightful cottage and found this delicious cake had been left for us by the owners. What a lovely welcome and much appreciated (as were the milk and the eggs!)

It will be an early night for us now, to recover from that long drive, so may not catch up until later in the week.
