Cones Galore

Started our holiday with a drive to Leeds to stay overnight with friend M who stayed with us a few weeks ago. Cones were a common theme on the drive, as every single road had them!

This is the A66 where they were cutting the grass verges, so one lane was closed - but at least the traffic was light. The motorways, on the other hand were much busier, so the lane closures had more impact. I suppose the work has to be done when weather permits, but it added quite a delay to our journey.

However, we got there safely and it was lovely to see M again and to admire her new kitchen, which she had fitted while she was staying with us:-)
