All together now - "Raindrops Apples keep falling on my head!"

These are the last of our James Grieve apples, which have been a real disappointment this year. Most of them are damaged or eaten even while on the tree and they don't taste as good as they usually do. Not sure why this should be after a pretty good summer, but maybe they prefer the rain!

Still coughing, so wanted to keep away from people today and spent some time in the garden in my "chopper" mode! Lots of shrubs have had a haircut, but have tried not to cut down anything that flowers on new wood:-) Enjoying this late summer sunshine - but for how much longer?
