The Ceilidh Place
Spent some time in and around Ullapool this morning. Visited the museum, which we had never been in before despite all of our previous visits. This afternoon we made the small drive to Leckmelm gardens and looked around there. This is a lovely place on the shore of Loch Broom with superb mature trees and a significant collection of rhododendrons.
Today's blip is the Ceilidh Place in Ullapool. Familiar to us since 1989 when we went to live on the Isle of Lewis as a coffee stop while waiting to board the ferry, we have seen its development over the years into a cafe, restaurant, bookshop, hotel, and venue for music and other events.
We travel home tomorrow ... and I will catch up on comments on journals once I am back in front of a big screen rather than coping with a netbook on my knee in a BB :-)
