Day in the city
Stunning day to have a walk through our city.
Its been a while since we have so there was a few new things to look at plus its spring so everythign was green and in bloom.
I took the boys to the sound garden first, its a little area amongst the rubble and empty lots that has a range of musical instruments made from the likes of old fire extinguishers, jandals and pipes, old metal road signs etc.
The boys really enjoyed being super loud with no one around.
After that we walked to the new kaleidoscope the council has put up but the boys were too small to look through it so we carried on.
We popped in to see my mama in law before we went and got real fruit ice creams. The boys loved them as we dont have ice cream that often.
We walked down to the museum and went through there. They had a mirror magic exhibit with different mirrors showing they reflect differently with shape and light.
We wandered on through to the chinese palace part when they had a shadow puppet show on.
We went into discovery which is a kids area full of fossils, bugs, puzzles, sensory things.
The funny thing was the part they loved the most was the display of different birds, we spent ages looking at the range of birds
The boys were then hungry so we went out of the museum and into the botanic gardens where we popped to the cafe and got some lunch. They had been out for 2 hours at this point and i was very very nervous that in this extremely packed cafe kanye was going to lose it and start screaming and shouting but he didn't! He sat and waited patiently for his lunch.
I got it takeaway and we sat by the duck pond and ate it .
I got Andre who was having a day off to pick us up, they were tired and so was i. Harper fell asleep in the car on the way home.
Later on we went to pick up my mama in law from work and we got sushi for dinner.
Think its almost sunscreen weather. Was a beautiful day out with my little guys and they were so good the whole time, i was really surprised at how well behaved they were.
