Messy!

We had a messy day. the first part of it was intentional. The rest of it was not.

I actually wrote all about our messy day here on my blog about sensory play. 

After they had spent their morning playing and getting messy i showered them and they had lunch and watched a dvd i got from the library. They loved it because it was a collection of shows that they watched on the kids channel in Australia in march .

While they watched it i hosed everything down outside. Then they came out to see what i was doing, all the hosing things down made the garden muddy, very watery muddy. 

So what a perfect opportunity to bike through the muddy puddles and throw the mud around. 

After an hour they were covered in mud and again i had them in the shower getting clean.

While they were in the shower i blew up a small paddling pool and filled it with ball pit balls thinking that it would keep them inside a bit while the mud dried outside in the sun, they tipped all the balls out, turned it over and hid underneath it until Andre got home form work.

I took Marley and Kanye for a walk to my in laws while Harper and Andre slept, was lovely to sit outside at their new house and have a cup of tea through Kanye managed to trample on my mama in laws daffodils and step in the stream getting his shoes wet!

When we got home they all went back outside and found a lone mud puddle and drove in their trikes all through it , they didn't get as muddy this time so was able to just wash their feet off.

Made a yummy warm chicken salad for dinner.

The boys seem to be a lot better today , Andre isn't so good, he's not well and pretty exhausted and has the next couple  of days off , i think he just needs a decent rest.

Loving the warm weather that's hitting us right now sure makes all the washing i have a lot easier.
