Great Blue Heron

I spotted this beauty sunning herself (or himself) at Golden Ponds this morning.  S/he seemed very intent on whatever s/he was staring at and was still standing exactly like this when I walked on after taking several pictures.  Because of the angle of the sun, her neck is casting a shadow down her back that looks like a stripe.  You can even see it in the reflection. 

Edit:  I really like this better on the dark background.  :-)
