Avila Beach

A great small but lively place, and warm today at around 95F in the shade. Food stalls, live music, and wood smoke from the gigantic rib grill all out on the prom. The beach is perfect and there is a huge pier behind shot, unfortunately shut.

The last long haul today and good to put even the fringes of LA traffic behind us. Not so much the volume (although large) as the driving style. Still, much better than when we ploughed straight through the middle of it and many intersections a few days ago!

Beach day tomorrow, some shopping, then more beach just a short drive north.
