San Simeon

A short drive up from Avila beach to the much quieter San Simeon beaches. Lots of wildlife around, although none that were on the information boards! Cool to watch the birds skimming in ground effect just above the ocean.

Perused a few beaches along a few mile stretch from tonight's lodgings including the pretty moonstone beach. The best was probably the one directly behind the hotel. Finished the day watching the sun slide down while the surfers snatched the last of the waves. Nice.
