Waiting for the sun to arrive above Sutton Meadows, which it did - once I had landed and then only for a few minutes.

Beautiful tow up today though up to cloudbase at 3k over the quarries.  Missed out on the best opportunity to stay up by failing to realise my alti-vario automatically turns itself off after landing.  Thought it was quiet on the way up.  Anyway, switched on and had a pleasant extended flight taking in the views.

Our slot between cloud never quite arrived as anticipated.  Watching the satellite images at http://meteoradar.co.uk/clouds-sun-UK-Ireland the cloud compressed up rather than slide east.  A good day tinkering and checking things out though.  An especially big thanks to AK for the tows today, which turns out to be his birthday, which he kept quiet ...
