Globe artichoke

Today's the day ......................... to be proud

I'm inordinately proud of my globe artichoke in the garden - which is now a good nine inches across.  I know we should have eaten it before it got to this stage, but that would have deprived us of the sight of this spectacular purple flower.

In a different league altogether - but something else of which I'm very proud - you can see below ......................
