Today's the day .................... for a big, happy grin

........... well, you would, wouldn't you when it was your 1500th blip!

It was a day to remember for several reasons. Today was the day to harvest the grapes and start off this year's vintage. We had over 20lbs of black grapes from the vine - and we've decided to make red wine with them. So that means we just mash the grapes and keep the skins in contact with the juice at the start of the fermentation process. Keep your fingers crossed that Chateau Williams 2014 will be a year to remember.

Today was also the day when joiner son Tim (and Benjie) came round to make us a door at the side of the house to enclose the back garden and make it a much more private place to be. He made good progress - and it's looking great already.

As for Benjie - he is permanently full of joy - and he just kept everyone with a smile on their face..................
