Glory

The Basilica di San Vitale in Ravenna is a wonder. It was built around 525BC and the mosaics are simply glorious. We have been there a number of times and it is the sort of place which you know is special as soon as you set foot in it.

The blip is of the mosaic panel over the apse. Stunning.
