In the beginning ..

... there is the grape.

Today's excursion in Italy was to a vineyard. Something else we haven't done before.

Our destination was Frattoria Paradiso near Bertinoro when the Appenine hills end and the Po Valley takes over to the Adriatic. The owner was kind enough to show us around and her passion for her produce was evident and infectious. They have produced wine enjoyed by Popes, Presidents and celebrities. They have provided wine for great events such as dinners for Nobel Prize winners. They have won awards across the globe.

And it all starts with the grape.
