Tour of Britain - The Leaders

We had no idea the Tour of Britain was passing our way in Northumbria this week. It did mean we had to think about where to go today as the road at the end of the farm where we're staying would be closed for a few hours. 

So we walked from the cottage north along the sand dunes to Alnmouth and then down onto the beach. We then walked back along the beach south towards Warkworth. 

 In Warkworth, we positioned ourselves on the hill below the castle looking down the main street and awaited the cyclists.This is a shot of the 6 leaders. It was a great atmosphere in the town. Even the children from the primary school were out cheering the cyclists.
