Uni of Cambridge Formal Dinner

Today was the first day of the Machine Learning workshop at the University of Cambridge. Day was full of lectures and a couple of practical sessions on machine learning methodologies. Practical sessions were in Python and I thought i have already acquainted myself enough when i "graduated" from Introduction to Python a few months ago, unfortunately i had a longer time looking through the code given during the practical session. I was able to understand the code in the end but i didnt have enough time to finish the tasks. Tomorrow is another day.

We also capped the day with a nice 4-course formal dinner at the Selwyn College New Senior Combination Room. The tomato soup starter was superb and the chicken main was just so juicy. I even finished it. Unfortunately, my stomach was just so full when the summer pudding arrived. I only got to eat half of it even though it was delicious as well. People here are not really much into photo taking during social gatherings and so I quickly snapped this photo of the people on my right to at least to document my day.

All in all, it was a satisfying first day of workshop. The woman on the right of the photo is our main lecturer, Dr A. Faul from Cambridge University.
