It is exactly one week since the Davao, Roxas Avenue bombing and it is still as somber as before.

For someone who travels from the city centre to the outskirts of Davao City and vice versa everyday, passing through supposedly very busy roads, I could not believe how decongested the city streets have become since the grim event last week. The repercusion of the event to public utility vehicle driver's income has been dismal. I always take the van to go to work and a couple of them on my way back everyday have expressed their disappointment over their day's income since the bombing incident. They have noticed that less and less people are visiting shopping malls and it is affecting their income. Another taxi driver, aside from being surprised over traffic free intersections, shared to me his struggle to find passengers since the event.

In all of these short conversations, I didnt have much to say to them but utter the words "Ayaw lang kabalaka kuya, maulian lang lagi ni." (Dont worry kuya, this will come to pass.)
