Big empty sky
There's very little in this photo - a huge sky from which the morning mist has just cleared; a small fleet of boats at their moorings; the distant building of Toward Sailing Club; acres of empty foreshore with a scattering of birds. Very little of interest, really - but I think that's what I loved, this midday walk, when I went far out on the point to take a new look at a familiar scene. And I loved too the distant burbling of the oyster-catchers and the new-found brightness of the sun ...
And when I arrived back in Dunoon an hour later, the mist hadn't cleared and the temperature was a full 6 degrees colder than in the sun only seven miles to the south. Good choice ...
