Rules of Engagement

If you're of a certain age - politely decline the invitation. Tell them you have to stay home and knit the cat - or something. The 'music' isn't like music as you will know it. The volume will make your hair curl. The buffet will... okay let's not go there.
I hope we stayed long enough to be polite.
