inspired by topiary

We were out in the garden this afternoon checking on new growth while we have been away. The wind has played havoc with the poppies and the delphiniums but the rain has benefited the new yew hedge. Nine out of the ten plants are definitely looking healthy and have sprouted new growth. It's fingers crossed for the tenth one.

These yews are a few years older than ours. The owner has obviously had fun with them. It's about time he gave them a hair cut, though.
