inspired by a wild flower
I found this scarlet pimpernel growing on the bare patch in our back garden. I haven't seen one for a long time. I think perhaps it doesn't like the climate in North East Scotland.
I went to have another look at it not long after I had blipped it. The flowers were tightly shut so that you would hardly have noticed them. I discovered that the flower is sometimes called the poor man's weather glass. How clever is that!
