Tractor Tuesday (sort of )

A day of 2 halves weather wise. The forecast yesterday said we would have rain up the east coast first thing. Today the forecast said by lunch time. It was still dry first thing so went away and baled the silage I cut on Sunday. We managed to get the 100 bales wrapped by lunch time, just as the rain started.
The department man back out checking field areas with his GPS back pack. Every time he appears,it rains !
Got the 100 round bales of straw cleared and into the shed by tea time, slightly wet,but they won't take much hurt.
A bit of a cheat for today's blip. Tractor Tuesday is actually Tractor Saturday,as this wee Leyland with half tracks was at Peebles Show last week end. Before the invention of 4 wheel drive, this was one way of letting tractors cross wet or boggy ground. There was even a Massey Ferguson made it to the  South Pole with half tracks.
The second photo shows a McCormick with a finger mower. Compare this to today's equivalent in the 3rd photo. A bit of a difference to do basically the same job !
