Deer in Glencoe

It's been a lovely sunny and warm day in Glencoe but the rain started as we headed east towards the Cairngorms.

An easy start to the day and got the caravan chores out of the way before we set off exploring with mam and dad.  We went up through Glencoe and so many photo stops along the way.  What an amazing landscape.  The mountains and sights came rushing back, last time I was here was when I was a young boy about 25 years ago.  We stopped off at the Kings House Hotel as we spotted wild deer close by and then onto the Glencoe ski centre.  Up the ski lifts to the top of the mountain to take in the views.  This was followed by lunch in the centre.  A long travel to the Cairngorms and now based in Glenmore forest campsite for a couple of nights, mam and dad have tagged along too before they head home to Shetland.
Live music in the campsite bar tonight, think a few pints are in order :)

The wild Red Deer in Glencoe were stunning to see.  They were close by the Kings House Hotel and must be fairly tame, as they didn't run away from me and my camera :)  So glad to have seen them and didn't mind taking a chance of getting a tick or two for a photo, hopefully I won't have any :)
