Da Highlands

It's been mostly an overcast day but there has been sunny spells over my travels. 

Left Banff early this morning, said my goodbyes to mam, Megan and Eve.  Headed to Inverness by Lunchtime and had a walk about and lunch in the city and then onwards to Ullapool.  The new campsite is just three miles away from the town at Ardmair.  The settings are beautiful, sea view from the caravan and stunning mountains all around.  After we got the caravan set up, we headed north to the castle of Ardvreck and the amazing scenery on way. 
Heading into Ullapool tonight for a few pints, the town looks busy and exciting :)

One peerie village on the way to the castle, Inchnadamph, had the most amazing scenery.  Tall steep mountains with rough edges and cliffs and a few houses dotted around, plus a few complimentary trees too :)  In some ways it feels like Shetland but on a much bigger scale and lots more trees :)  Not been here in 20 years and going to love exploring the area again :)
