Rabbits Are The New Rock And Roll

This isn't strictly a canal picture as it doesn't show the canal, but it was taken from a towpath, on the Kennet and Avon just above Horton Bridge. It shows the view you would get from a narrowboat, or at least what you would have got last Saturday afternoon. CalneFest, Calne's own rock festival, was taking place in town, but rather than mingle with the crowds and take in the noise and the atmosphere, we took time out to look at the rabbits in the fields below the billowing clouds.

In the field behind the swing bridge a group of people were sitting in fold-up chairs with a drink or two watching the holidaymakers navigate their way upstream, past other moored boats and the occasional waterfowl.
