Rachel's gift

When we were round at this lovely Baboushka's house last week doing some painting jobs for her, she was really kind and gave us homemade apple juice, bread and salami and picked apricots from her garden for us to take back to Carmen's.  Rachel felt she wanted to do something more for this kind old lady and we asked if she had a favourite verse of the Bible.  Throughout the week since then, Rachel has been busy using one of her many gifts - sewing - to make this lovely wall hanging for her house.  Without fabric, she used two thicknesses of sketching paper to write the verse on and then embroider with some of the fruits and flowers we had seen growing in the garden there.
Today, we delivered this unexpected gift, and the dear Baboushka was really touched by Rachel's kindness.
