Colinton Road

And so after a 115 miles back from Newtonmore in the morning, and then a 52 mile round trip to Haggs to view her new nephew (John, 7lb 14oz, cute as...) in the afternoon, I finally got a chance to get out and do the day job.

I passed this on business the other day; and had never previously spotted it. I almost always disappear off through Polwarth before getting to this point, so it was only when being chauffeured around on different routes that I noticed this.

By which time the sunny weather of north east Perthshire (where we hauled off the A9 and sat in sunshine, vistas to the north and south and cooked some sliced sausage before sticking it in a roll and applying ketchup) had long since progressed through gloom and into steady rain.

Still, a classic Cigs bin, black paint on grit bin; undated. Note - triple underline. Unusual. And the usual three stripes above.

From the deserted streets, you'd never know we had a festival starting any moment. (Although the weather would give you a large hint)
