The Race that Stops a Nation

Today was the Melbourne Cup, which (in Victoria) means a day off! Famously known as the "race that stops a nation", Melbourne certainly comes to a halt for 3 minutes, while the cup is raced.

Benny and I decided to place a few bets, and headed down to Federation Square to watch it on the big screen (along with a few hundred other people)

With 3 outsiders taking out the cup this year, our mix of Irish and NZ horses didn't yield any results.
