Dunnock

I had a lovely day (starting as a volunteer) at the Wolseley Centre, including a tour of the whole site with one of the regulars - who adores the place and was fascinating.

This little dunnock, not very old, was pottering around just under the bird hide.

Not much good news about the kingfisher and the babies.  The male is flying around (eluding the guys with the ENORMOUS lenses this  morning) but the female hasn't been seen for a couple of weeks and they suspect she has moved further down the river.  Result - sadly, no little ones to watch in the coming weeks.
