edinburgh #2

today started with a little swim in the hotel pool and a lovely sweaty few minutes in the steam room. this was followed by a very un-virtuous but delicious breakfast including a tiny mouthful of haggis, just because we're in scotland.

back on the bus into town where we followed a little lonely planet route around some of the interesting alleyways around the back of edinburgh. amazing little windy lanes, more steps than i care to remember and some of the nicest shops in the whole of the uk.

there have been little bursts of rain all day and unfortunately we chose one of those bursts to climb authur's seat. wet and windy and therefore over far too quickly, but we enjoyed the views all the same.

a slow wander around the museum of edinburgh to dry off followed by an absolutely delicious pint of ale at brewdog (fast becoming addicted) cheered us up again. managed to convince sakala that we should have a burrito for dinner (YES!) and then a cup of tea on the way back to the bus.

edinburgh, we've loved you and all of your delights.
