oh edinburgh: home of blip, mecca for blippers, it's been wonderful to finally tred your streets.

we left penrith this morning and squealed most of the way to edinburgh. checked in at the hotel and then hopped onto the bus into the city. wondered around the old town, took in the cobbled streets and multitudes of tartan shops. explored museums when the rain set in and then danced with joy when the sun came out.

on the way back up to the new town, we took a back route (pictured) and i loved it for how very un-british it looked. we could have been in any street in any european city. different from the rest of edinburgh but equally mesmerising.

edinburgh, you are wonderful. part two of the love affair tomorrow.
