Aspirations... Where do you want to be?
Lake District Day 2 - Aspire Training Day 1!
What. A. Day. Talk about an emotional roller coaster!
For those stumbling across my blip, the purpose of my journal is to document my first year in business as a photographic company. It was never the intention to set up business in December last year, but funny how things work out! My blips are fairly descriptive as I am going to print the book at the end of the year, so stick with me on the story part! I can never just write one paragraph! Typical creative!
Woke to a fantastic breakfast and even better day outside. It was the perfect start to the day. Drove the 4 miles to Aspire Training for day 1 out of 4 for photography and business course.
It has been a whole series of "coincidences" that I am here today in Kendal. A journey over the past few months has enabled me to be here. Blessed with the gift of this course and a car, would be the first two reasons why I am here.
I walked into the familiar courtyard and immediately felt at home. Catherine and Jane make for a very welcome environment and all very relaxed. The people on the course were great from the start. New business buddies for life here I believe. It was great to be going through the course with like minded people.
Today was all about marketing, building your brand, my business values, creating journals for creative direction and inspiration and that is all just of the top of my head. 39 pages of notes later, my head is spinning and I m totally buzzing about my company and how to make Stephanie Summers Photography a big success.
That's my biggest question now. Where do you aspire to be and how am I going to get there? One comment that was so pertinent - you are going to make it - I have no doubt in that. How's that for affirmation?
The two shots I took were of the sign outside the courtyard and then the slogan is painted in the training room. I couldn't decide on which one I wanted to blip, but think both of them represent my day.
So looking forward to the next 3 days, particularly tomorrow which is location work all day. Right up my alley.
I'm going to put lots of pics up from the corse this week on my Facebook Page - Stephanie Summers Photography. Come over for a sneak peek.
