Scotland to Lake District the Journey
Lake District Day 1
Today was our last day in Scottie land. Few errands to do, said our goodbyes to Mum, always sad to leave the house, visited Dads stone briefly (always try to do on way home) and toddled off to Edinburgh airport with Steve and a very full car. We have had a lovely few days back up home, don't know where the time went.
Steve got checked in ok with no baggage whatsoever! Im ferrying everything around in the car! We had a coffee and a sandwich together and said our goodbyes for the week. Will be strange not seeing him this week, will miss him heaps.
Now my photography week really begins. I had to get to Lake District as I am staying in Kendal for 4 days. I am booked on to do a photography business course at Aspire Training that starts on Tuesday.
A fab drive down to the border with some stunning views along the way. It was a pretty easy drive thankfully with no wrong turns!
Found the B&B and that is tonights blip. A gorgeous converted barn in the middle of a tiny village that only has a church, post office, pub and corner shop!!
I was made so welcome when I arrived at Tythebarn, tea and cake all prepared, and quite a long conversation, about, well everything! They also left out two books for me / wedding and landscape and were very thoughtful.
A saunter down to the shop for a bite to eat and came back to sort my room out.
The house is a large house where the downstairs has been converted into a private apartment, double bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom. It's quaint and has everything I need for 4 days!!
It has been a great start to the week. From tonight's conversations, I think this week is going to be a lot more than photography. It really feels as if I am meant to be here- all part of a plan. I am so looking forward to seeing what will be in store for me and my business.
Without my Mums generosity, I wouldn't be here tonight, this blip is for her! Thank you x
