Now What?

After over 11 years in this house we have started the long process of redecorating the living room. Trying to get 80 years of wallpaper off was taking an hour a foot so now Mr C has decided the way to go is to just take off the plaster and get a man in to put on new plaster. Progress is being made now, his third day.

Not finished yet though and his pal Dennis is arriving to stay for a few days from Suffolk in an hour. Dennis doesn't like getting mucky so once he arrives there will be no progress.

We have friends coming for supper so I'm busy in the kitchen. An antipasti of roast veg, manchego, Parma ham, melon, marinaded olives and focaccia. Then Fragrant Thai green chicken curry. Summer pudding. I'll leave the Eton Mess to the Westminster lot.

Music Festival here at the weekend.
