Junior World Championship Sprint Championship

A rest day today so we decided to watch the Juniors racing for medals. Lots of excitement particularly in the men's race. With the aid of GPS tracking and a big screen we were able to watch the event unfold.

It came down to a battle between a New Zealander and this Finnish runner. The NZ runner made good choices early on but then the Finnish runner got into his stride and started to close the gap. It came down to the wire with the New Zealander retaining his title won last year by just 3 seconds.

It was another warm day and this played a part in the race. Unfortunately despite a really good performance our top performer just missed a medal finishing in seventh position. The top six received the medals!
