York Minster
Up and out early in order to pick up some items for our forthcoming trip to France. Shopping is not one of our favourite pastimes so we were in and out quite quickly. Even the tourists were not evident in the Minster precinct as we returned to the car.
This is one of my favourite views as it has the famous Rose Window and also the central tower behind. I well remember waking up and looking out and witnessing the fire caused when lightning struck on July 9th 1984. Good to see it was returned to its former glory.
Then back home for a cycle ride which fortunately avoided the showers although it did require some puddle dodging!
