Billboards with a difference

Well, they weren't really billboards, but rather well placed posters on a glass façade. Wish I could lay claim to the shot of the boy on the bench, I think it's brilliant. Someone probably brought these posters from abroad, maybe you've seen them elsewhere. The extra photo shows all of them, plus there's a shot of Copacabana's main drag at 5.30 pm, with street vendors and people rushing for their buses. All taken on Avenida Nossa Senhora de Copacabana, a hive of activity all day and every day.

Today was much better than yesterday, and I even managed to clock up a few small victories, such as getting a monthly charge of around £25 knocked off my company's bank account. Like the phone companies, banks never let on that a cheaper service is available till you kick up a fuss. And I've applied for more Olympics tickets - we actually did well in the first draw, though we have to travel out to the boondocks for most of the events.

Early start tomorrow to be on the tee in the hills at 9 am - wonder if we'll make it. Our record for leaving the house at the designated time is not good.
