Music from the movies

We went to see a couple of Emily's colleagues play in an orchestra performing 'Music from the movies' at Penang Arts Centre, which is about 25 minutes north of where I'm staying. They started with three pieces from Star Wars and other highlights included Superman, Police Academy, various Burt Bacharach songs and, amazingly, the themes from Steptoe & Son and Match of the Day! I loved it and it was so nice going to a concert.

Afterwards we got a lift to Batu Ferringhi, the most popular beach area on the island. We walked along the shore and got some drinks as the sun went down. After having dinner at a busy food court I ordered an Uber taxi using a promo code to take us back. The driver was really lovely and told us about another promotion to get five more free rides! That's my transport sorted for the next few days!
