Odeon museum
Emily and I were walking around Georgetown when we passed the old Odeon cinema which had been newly refurbished and turned in to a museum and gallery. When I was here in January I took a photo of the front of the cinema when it was run-down and abandoned but now it looked brand new. We bought a ticket but we weren't really sure what it entailed. We were taken around a gallery of black and white paintings, mostly based around life in Penang, where you could take photos of yourself as part of the art.
During the evening we went between various cafes, food courts, restaurants and bars. I finally got to try Penang rojak (a strange fruit salad with peanuts and a sweet sauce apparently made with shrimp paste) and popiah (a popular Malaysian fresh spring roll).
