An Echo from the Past

I used to row for Victoria University once, a few moons or so ago. We used to arrive at the Star Boating Club, in Wellington, at 5.30am and paddle around the near harbour, training for races against other University Womens' Fours. It wasn't a popular activity for women in those days, being frowned on as not suitable for the female physique! How times have changed; thankfully. I didn't realise it at the time, but I guess we were at the forefront of womens' rowing. How funny. They are good memories. And, what's more, our Victoria Womens' Four actually won, a couple of times.
