The Beauty of Shadow

I remember writing a few days ago that although I felt there'd been a step or two forward, it felt as though I was walking into shadow, rather than light. After taking this image today and having this thought of Tolstoy's, I'm starting to think that maybe I can find something more positive in the present shadows than I have been seeing.
