MOUTHS TO FEED

It's been a wonderful holiday, renting a cottage with my four sisters and walking in the Yorkshire Dales. We had no mobile signal anywhere in the Dale unless we climbed the 1000 ft hills on either side, and although there was wifi in the cottage I had intentionally left my laptop at home. On Tuesday afternoon we went to Jervaulx Abbey, bird- and wildflower-spotting, and had a superb cream tea in their café, passing this busy wren along the path.

I'm really lucky that all this is nearly on my doorstep - or only just over an hour's drive away.
