Cattle chiropody....

The foot trimmer in ready to start at 8am.I had kept 3 bulls and various cows and calves shut in when the rest went out to grass awaiting their tootsies trimmed. The first bull didn't want to play ball and managed to get turned and out the crush 3 times before he was persuaded to stick his head through the head stock. Once they were done I ran the bulls out to the field beside the other 7,so world war 3 broke out for a while until they sorted out who was boss.
Dropped in at the coffee morning for a bacon roll, then a friend called in to get me to sharpen his combs and cutters ( blades for the sheep shears ) on my grinder.
Back to a cool wind and drizzle here tonight - think the last 2 days were the Scottish summer (and that's 1 day longer than usual ! )
