Past and present

In a mad moment I agreed to go on a trip to Belgium for the bi-centenary of Waterloo.
My grandson and 6 others are taking part as this sort of thing is their hobby.  My son is driving a borrowed mini bus and I suspect I will be sleeping in it a few times.  We have booked into  a hotel for a couple of nights as we have to drop them off on Tuesday to 'practice'.
Unfortunately we have not been able to obtain any of the 100 thousand tickets sold to watch the spectacle.  My grandson has applied for us to take part as 'civilians', so I may have to dress up to fit the part.
Son doesn't get back from a trip to Italy until late Monday, so I have been instructed to get the sticky labels for the lights.  Not sure if mini-bus has GB stickers so played safe as do not want to get fined!
Now amending my usual 'holiday list' to fit the bill.
I am looking on it as an experience!
