Sign of the times...

The shearers in ready to start on the hoggs by 8am. The spraying contractor in to spray thistles on some of the grazing fields,and dockens on part of a silage field. The lorry in to collect the wee McCormick tractor to take it away for repair. Looks like some of the clutch packs in the gearbox ,which means splitting the tractor,and a large bill I could well do without.
Back at the dentist for a filling,more expense !
Have shut more sheep in the shed tonight ready to clip tomorrow,just in case it rains!
Noticed that the butchers shop in the village that closed last autumn now has a for rent sign in the window. I wonder what it will end up as.
Another butchers  that closed years ago in Dalkeith is now an undertakers. Makes sense I suppose !
