'As You Like It'

A day of contrasts. Starting preparations for a forthcoming trip. This always involves me in a lot of 'hoovering' and polishing beforehand. Made a start this morning anyway.
Went into York for a matinee performance of 'As You Like It' at the Theatre Royal. It was largely a young cast giving very energetic and enthusiastic performances. I thought the set was clever and it's simplicity was used to good effect. Managed to take this picture at the end of the performance as the curtains weren't drawn.
York was full of people ready to leave the city at the end of the afternoon. It was pouring with rain by now and the Park & Ride queue was the longest I've ever seen. Cut our losses and took a taxi back to the car, a good move! Bits and pieces of paperwork to tidy up this evening should take me nicely to bedtime!
