Oxford Street

Is there a more unpleasant place to be than Oxford Street? I'm not sure there is

This afternoon I had to go to St Cristophers Place which is a tiny turning off Oxford Street - the end of it is a little square almost completely populated by restaurants and what used to be called sandwich bars.

Unfortunately in order to get there you have to walk down a bit of Oxford Street from the underground station.
