Much of the garden's enjoying the rain we've had this year - there are seven roses in the back garden and three in the front, and most of them are flowering their socks off at the moment, including the one with my favourite name "Paul's Himalayan Musk" which has one flush of small pale pink flowers and climbs wildly.

Many are less scented than I'd like but there's one un-named pink one growing round the front door that bathes you in scent as you unlock the door

This one was in the garden when I came here - almost the only plant that was there - to sell the house the vendors had razed the garden and cleared out almost everything
