Birthday 2!
Back to Trematon Gardens! We were supposed to leave 11ish but the rain forecast didn't come till then so we sat in my kitchen and drank coffee and ate Nellies homemade peanut butter fudge - very moreish! We put the world to rights and then set off!
We met Homeopath and Teacher girl at the garden and off we set! All were as blown away by the place as I had been on my first visit! We decided we actually owned it, not Charlie boy, and decided to reclaim it and throw a pool party! We wandered up to the Keep where I had great fun doing panoramic shots directing them to run around as fast as they could! teacher girl sure can move fast and I love the effect panorama creates!! I'm amazed they always do just as I ask! Sit on that log across the stream, stand in a row on the hilltop holding outstretched hands, pose here, there, where I say! They were then rewarded with tea and cake and we chatted once more/still more!
Having visited the still to be restored Walled garden - where I slipped and fell! - we went our separate ways - me and teacher girl to Waitrose! Then for me the garden centre for Milly and Tilly, Gunther and Amelia food! I drove home the top road as it is two way traffic and easier, and was amazed at how lush and green the route was - seemed as if the trees and strips of grass by the side were converging onto the road! When did the trees get so leafy?!! Used to the trees in my wood but I have not been along this road in a while. This is when the devastation hit - my bracelet that I have worn virtually every day for the last 20 odd years was not on my wrist. I bought it in Egypt on my first holiday since I split with my boyfriend of many years, it seemed to have some special significance to me - not least since I propositioned a young man who said yes - the healing and closure was complete! I can only hope it fell off when I fell, the Castle has no phone details so I emailed them and looks like I will be going back tomorrow to see if it is there. If not i will do the entire walk again, then the 3 shops in the garden centre - I have already phoned Waitrose and left my details. Once I know it is gone I will deal with it and move on, but until then I am hoping with every fibre of my being I find it tomorrow, particularly as I really just want to rest tomorrow after today's happy but tiring birthday jaunt. Maybe this is the universe telling me something - once more. Spoke to Friend who said never wear a bracelet on the different arm to which you usually do - as I did today! I was thinking on more lofty terms - do not invest in material things, be prepared to lose that which you love etc, etc. Damn the universe!
More castle here!
