HUNGRY MOUTHS!!

We were up and out this morning at 5.30 as we had a long walk to what is known locally as The Strict Reserve. It is a UNESCO biosphere Reserve and you are only allowed in if accompanied by a licensed guide, and before the scientists studying aspects of the forest start work. There is no management or interference of the 47.5 square kilometres.
It was amazing and we were guided round looking at the diversity and rich ecology.
After another welcome breakfast we were off again visiting different habitats and areas within the forest. This nest of baby birds was on a busy stair well of one of the tower hides we visited.
We returned at 5pm for an early evening meal and were then back out looking for pygmy owls. We got back to the hotel late that evening all ready for our beds!
